Three Brazilian politicians, all at different stages of their careers, fight for positions in government while confronting gender-based political violence: a councilor candidate who uses social networks as her primary platform, a trans parliamentarian who struggles to have her voice heard, and a pioneering advocate who pioneered women’s inclusion in the 1988 Constitution. Together, they define the boundaries between dialogue and aggression.

About the organization:
InternetLab is an independent think tank focused on human rights and digital technologies. It is based in São Paulo, Brazil, and since 2014, it has been a non-profit organization. As a human rights organization, we believe that the digital environment must be vibrant, creative, inclusive, protective of fundamental rights, an enabler of the quality of the democratic public sphere, and a promoter of social justice – which implies that the decisions of state and private agents are constantly under critical analysis. We deliver sophisticated, evidence-based, and impact-oriented social and legal research, as well as analysis to identify and clarify critical issues, thereby helping to build the intellectual and evidential foundation for public awareness, action, and policymaking.
The AzMina Institute is a non-profit organization that fights for gender equality. We produce a digital magazine, an app to combat domestic violence, a legislative monitoring platform for women’s rights, as well as lectures and consulting services.
